Macron welcomes conclusion of peace deal talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan

French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the conclusion of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the text of a peace agreement.

"I welcome the announcement of the conclusion of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan," he posted on X on Thursday. 

"There are now no remaining obstacles to the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which should pave the way for a lasting peace in the South Caucasus," Macron said.

The French Foreign Ministry also welcomed the successful conclusion of negotiations on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and expressed hope that it would be signed as soon as possible.
