Ruben Mkhitaryan pledges to make Gyumri a 'symbol of social justice'

Ruben Mkhitaryan, a candidate for mayor of Gyumri, Armenia’s second largest city, has pledged to eliminate poverty in the community if he wins the snap municipal elections slated for March 30.

"Gyumri will become a symbol of social justice. No child's right to education and no elderly person's access to medical care should ever be limited due to financial hardships," Mkhitaryan stated while outlining the social priorities of his program.
