Opposition MP slams Pashinyan's denial of concessions to Azerbaijan

Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan has hit out at Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent claims that no concessions have been made to Azerbaijan during his tenure and that Armenia has become "more independent and sovereign".

"It may only initially seem like we are dealing with a colossal liar," he wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

Abrahamyan, who represents the Pativ Unem faction, argued that his statement indicates yet again that the current leadership "views Armenia's chain of defeats, the surrender of Artsakh, territorial losses and strategic setbacks as personal and political achievements."

"Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian people have reached this tragic point as a result of betrayal. Those responsible repeatedly make public statements incriminating themselves," he added.
