Armenian economist reveals OSCE Minsk Group spending over the years

Recently, Azerbaijan and Armenia have been actively discussing the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, an international body tasked with addressing the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Economist Suren Parsyan says this push aims to formally end the group's activities.

"It is worth noting that the OSCE's unified budget allocates an annual sum of $911,200 to the Minsk Group. However, actual expenditures have consistently been lower. Specifically, $366,553 was spent in 2018, $434,635 in 2019, $716,955 in 2020 and $328,423 in 2021,” he wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

“Notably, in 2020, the year of the 44-day war in Artsakh, saw the highest spending. Unfortunately, reports detailing the OSCE’s unified budget for 2022-2024 remain unavailable. They would have provided valuable insight into the Minsk Group's level of activity in the following years,” the economist added.
