'I will no longer stay silent': Aras Ozbiliz accuses FFA leadership of 'destroying' Armenian football

Aras Ozbiliz, a former Armenian national team player and director of the Urartu FC Academy, has accused the Football Federation leadership of “destroying” Armenian football following the team’s crushing 1-6 defeat against Georgia.

"I have remained silent for too long. But I will no longer stay silent because you are destroying our football," he said in a video message on Monday.

Ozbiliz recalled that when he applied for the position of FFA director a year and three months ago, he was told he lacked managerial experience.

"But that is exactly where you are failing. It’s clear to everyone that you don’t understand football or the game itself — but even worse, you lack management skills. You have failed in leadership, organization, legal affairs, financial management and communication. The most devastating part is that hope and faith are fading," he said.

Ozbiliz stressed that "it’s time to face reality and make changes".
