Azerbaijan has been terrorizing Armenian border residents for a week now, MP warns

Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan has condemned the Armenian leadership’s failure to respond to recent Azerbaijani gunfire along the border with Armenia.

"For a week now, Azerbaijan has been terrorizing Armenian border residents. Meanwhile, Armenian authorities have chosen to remain silent, fearing they might 'provoke' Azerbaijan,” he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday, emphasizing that Azerbaijan does not need an excuse to attack Armenia.

The Pativ Unem faction MP also criticized the Armenian leaders’ assurances that they have no intention of reclaiming occupied Armenian territories by force, calling them “messages of helplessness".

"When a country’s leaders constantly assure Azerbaijan that they will not use force to liberate occupied territories, it is only natural that Azerbaijan will resort to fresh aggression and seize more lands,” he stated.
