Armenia refuses to sign CSTO budget decision for 2024

Armenia has officially informed the CSTO Secretariat that it will refrain from signing the CSTO Council of Ministers' decision on the organization's budget for 2024 and will not participate in its financing, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in response to an inquiry from Sputnik Armenia about whether Armenia intends to pay its annual membership fee to the CSTO budget.

Citing the CSTO's internal procedures, the ministry noted that details regarding the organization's annual budget are not disclosed to the public.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin stated that if Armenia fails to pay its CSTO membership fee by the end of 2025, the member states may consider various scenarios.
