Artsakh Armenians to rally outside government on Thursday

A rally will be held outside the Armenian government building to publicly reaffirm the demands for the protection of the forcibly displaced Artsakh people's rights.

The government has invited representatives of the Council for the Protection of the Rights of Artsakh Armenians to meet with Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan to address their concerns later on Thursday.

"In light of this, a spontaneous rally will take place outside the government building at 5 p.m. to publicly reaffirm our demands," the council reported.

After the meeting, the council members will provide information regarding the outcomes of the negotiations.

Thousands of Artsakh Armenians gathered at Yerevan’s Liberty Square for a big rally on Sunday. The protesters demanded that the Armenian government champion their right to return to their homeland and continue the housing allowances that were put in place when they were forced to leave Artsakh following Azerbaijan’s attack in September 2023.
