Tigran Abrahamyan, an MP from the opposition Pativ Unem faction in the Armenian parliament, warns that any attack on Iran would have a serious impact on Armenia.
"The pressure on Iran, at least through information campaigns, is intensifying rapidly. It comes as the U.S. offers Iran a deal with an implicit threat of war if no agreement is reached," he wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
"Even a casual observer can tell that the U.S. president, who has maintained a tough anti-Iran stance from the outset, is raising the stakes with his rhetoric and actions, which could lead to a major explosion in the region.
“I will not hesitate to reiterate that any strike against Iran – whether economic sanctions or direct military operations – will have far-reaching consequences for Armenia and its surroundings, accelerating the threats looming over Armenia," the MP stated.
