Arctic cold air intrusions into Armenia possible in April, chief meteorologist says

In April, average temperatures across Armenia are expected to be 1-2C above the climatic norm, with precipitation levels within seasonal averages, according to Gagik Surenyan, Deputy Director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center at the Ministry of Environment.

"April will generally be warm with sufficient rainfall," Surenyan told a press conference on Friday.

While southerly air currents will dominate for most of the month, he noted that Arctic cold air intrusions are possible, particularly in late April.

"April’s precipitation levels are typically high and within seasonal norms, so sufficient rainfall is expected this month," Surenyan said.
