Former Artsakh presidential advisor marks birthday in Baku jail

April 5 marks the birthday anniversary of former Artsakh presidential advisor David Babayan, who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.

Opposition Pativ Unem faction MP Tigran Abrahamyan paid tribute to Babayan in a Facebook post.

"I’ve known David for 15 years, including four years during which we worked together at the Artsakh president's office. A man who dedicated his life to science and public service is now behind bars in Azerbaijan," he wrote on Facebook. 

"He is a person deeply devoted to his country and family, someone who loved Artsakh with all his heart and served his homeland with unwavering dedication. Happy birthday, dear David! Freedom to you and all Armenians imprisoned in Azerbaijan!" Abrahamyan added.
