Chief meteorologist: No frosts expected in Armenia

No frosts are expected across Armenia in April or later this year, according to Gagik Surenyan, Deputy Director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center.

“The best thing about this year is that there have been no frosts and none are expected,” he wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

In April, average temperatures across Armenia are expected to be 1-2C above the climatic norm, with precipitation levels within seasonal averages.

"April will generally be warm with sufficient rainfall," Surenyan told a press conference on Friday.

While southerly air currents will dominate for most of the month, Arctic cold air intrusions are possible, particularly in late April.
