Artsakh Armenians plan protests in Yerevan on Monday

The Council for the Protection of Artsakh Armenians' Rights has announced plans to hold protests outside the Armenian Foreign Ministry and the Prosecutor General’s Office in Yerevan on Monday.

“At the Foreign Ministry, we will present our demands and proposals for action regarding the collective return of displaced Artsakh Armenians, release of Armenian prisoners, protection of Artsakh’s cultural heritage and private property, submission of a state complaint to the International Criminal Court, refusal to drop international lawsuits and preservation of the OSCE Minsk Group,” the council said in a statement on Friday.

At a protest outside the Prosecutor’s Office, the council intends to raise concerns over hate speech targeting Artsakh Armenians and to request updates on corruption investigations involving former officials from Artsakh.

The council also clarified that it was not affiliated with the rally scheduled to take place in Liberty Square on April 12.
