Azerbaijan preparing the ground for new aggression against Armenia, MP warns

Azerbaijan has ramped up its disinformation campaign against Armenia following a brief pause, warns MP Tigran Abrahamyan of the opposition Pativ Unem faction.

“Azerbaijan has resumed its information warfare against Armenia—a campaign that, in truth, never really stopped,” Abrahamyan wrote. “I’m referring to ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani forces and their efforts to place the blame on Armenia.”

According to Abrahamyan, Azerbaijan is pursuing several goals with this strategy: shaping international perception by portraying Armenia as the aggressor, justifying recent acts of intimidation against Armenian border communities, preparing the ground for new military aggression against Armenia and using both propaganda and frontline provocations to pressure Armenia during negotiations.

Abrahamyan stressed that these efforts are interconnected and part of a plan to reshape regional dynamics in Azerbaijan’s favor.
