Strong winds topple trees, damage rooftops in Armenia

Heavy winds knocked down trees, damaged rooftops, power lines, rain gutters and billboards in Yerevan and some other parts of Armenia on April 10, the Rescue Service said.

In particular, the damages were reported in Kotayk, Vayots Dzor and Ararat Provinces.

Rescue teams dispatched to the affected areas carried out operations to cordon off hazardous zones, dismantle loose metal sheets, reinforce weakened structures and clear away fallen trees and debris.
