Pashinyan: Karabakh movement will not continue in Armenia

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has ruled out the possibility of the Karabakh movement being revived in Armenia.

“I’ve responded to these statements, even before they were made. I’ve made it clear that the Karabakh movement will not continue in Armenia,” Pashinyan told reporters at the National Assembly on Tuesday, responding to former President Serzh Sargsyan's remarks.

Sargsyan had recently claimed that the "Nagorno-Karabakh issue remains unresolved and should be brought back to the political agenda."

Addressing Sargsyan’s assertions that the 2018 political transition was a power grab rather than a true expression of the people's will, Pashinyan said: “Let Serzh Sargsyan listen to what he himself was saying back then."
