Ruben Mkhitaryan: Sending winds of change from Gyumri to Yerevan

Following the inaugural session of Gyumri’s newly elected City Council on Wednesday, Ruben Mkhitaryan, head of the My Strong Community bloc, praised the election of an opposition mayor in Armenia's second largest city,

"Gyumri has a new mayor and a new municipal council. From the city of love and creation, we are sending the winds of change to Yerevan," he posted on Facebook.

The My Strong Community faction, which holds three seats in the City Council, supported the opposition’s unified mayoral candidate, Vardan Ghukasyan, in today’s vote.
