Yerevan underpasses plagued by stench amid City Hall inaction

As spring unfolds, the Yerevan residents have voiced increasing concerns over the foul odor and deplorable conditions in the city’s underpasses.

The Panorama.am photojournalist recently toured several underpasses in the capital to assess whether any improvements had been made following repeated complaints.

The findings reveal that the Yerevan City Hall has taken no action to address the issue. In fact, the overwhelming stench suggests that the municipal authorities may have unofficially repurposed the underpasses as "public restrooms" to offset the city's lack of proper sanitary facilities.
