Five children injured in multi-vehicle crash in Armenia's Kotayk

A major traffic accident occurred near the village of Nor Artamet in Armenia's Kotayk Province on Friday morning, involving a Chevrolet, an Opel and a GAZelle minibus operating on route 271, Shamshyan.com reported.

The drivers were identified as a 26-year-old man from Kotayk (Chevrolet), a 40-year-old man (Opel) and a 72-year-old man (GAZelle). As a result of the crash, five children were injured and taken to hospital.

Local residents were first to provide aid to the victims, followed by a prompt response from emergency medical services.

A criminal case has been launched into the circumstances of the incident. Military investigators were also called to the scene as one of the individuals involved is reportedly a serviceman.
