Ruben Mkhitaryan: Personal ambitions should be set aside in crucial matters

Ruben Mkhitaryan, a member of the opposition My Strong Community faction in the Gyumri City Council, called for unity in addressing major issues at the inauguration ceremony of newly elected mayor Vardan Ghukasyan.

"I truly hope that these years will be remembered in history as a time of new beginnings and revival not only for the father city but for all of Armenia," Mkhitaryan announced.

He urged fellow councilors to put aside personal ambitions and differences while addressing crucial matters for the sake of national interests.

"I hope we can restore our city’s status as the father city not just in name, but in action. The capital should know that the father is once again ready to assume the role of protector, developer and guardian of the household," Mkhitaryan added.
