Opposition MP: Pashinyan's government has lost initiative in all areas

Tigran Abrahamyan, an MP from the opposition Pativ Unem faction, criticized the Armenian government for a systemic failure to maintain initiative and proper strategic positioning both domestically and internationally.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Abrahamyan highlighted the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide only as a matter of historical justice and national dignity but also as a vital strategic tool. "Keeping the Armenian Genocide on the international agenda and actively promoting its recognition helps prevent future atrocities against the Armenian people," he wrote.

Abrahamyan also underscored Turkey’s active role in the 2020 Artsakh war, noting that Turkish officials have publicly and proudly admitted their involvement in the conflict.

“The Pashinyan government has relinquished initiative and strategic positioning in all areas, plunging the country into a cycle of endless defeats," Abrahamyan asserted.

He further accused the government of attempting to justify the surrender of Artsakh and abandoning the campaign for the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, stressing such policies do not prevent new acts of aggression against Armenia but rather embolden conditions with territorial ambitions against Armenia.
