Access to Tsitsernakaberd Memorial restricted for genocide remembrance events

In preparation for the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, access to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial in Yerevan will be restricted on April 24 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. due to official ceremonies.

To ensure the safety of participants in the annual torchlight procession, traffic restrictions will begin on April 23 at 6:30 p.m. around Republic Square. Starting at 7:00 p.m., key roads including Amiryan Street, Mashtots and Baghramyan Avenues and Kievyan Street will be closed in both directions.

On April 24 from 7:00 a.m., additional closures will include:

  • Tsitsernakaberd Highway from the Leningradyan intersection,

  • Athens Street from the Isakov Avenue junction,

  • Verfel Street towards Brazil Square.

The police urge the public to plan accordingly and follow traffic updates.
