Armenian church leader off to Vatican for Pope’s funeral

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, has departed for the Vatican to attend the funeral of Pope Francis on Saturday, the Mother See of the Armenian Apostolic Church reported.

Catholicos Karekin II is accompanied by Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, Chancellor of the Mother See; Bishop Mushegh Babayan, Director of the Administrative Department of the Mother See and Reverend Father Garegin Hambardzumyan, Director of the Inter-Church Relations Department.
