Bear cub rescued in Armenia's Tavush moved to wildlife rehabilitation center

The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body has responded to a report regarding a bear cub discovered in the Achajur community of Armenia's Tavush Province.

According to officials, local resident A. Sarukhanyan found the cub trapped in a metal wire fence along the Achajur-Makaravank road. Sarukhanyan managed to free the animal and temporarily took it into his care.

An initial veterinary examination revealed no visible injuries.

The bear cub, estimated to be around two months old, has been safely transferred to a wildlife rehabilitation center for further care.
