Multi-vehicle crash in Gyumri leaves one dead, five injured

Armenia’s National Crisis Management Center received an alert about a major traffic accident in Gyumri, Shirak Province, on Tuesday morning. The collision occurred near Garegin Nzhdeh Street and involved five vehicles, including a Ford, Opel, Gaz, Mercedes-Benz and a rescue service vehicle responding to an emergency call.

The Rescue Service reported that six people were injured in the accident, including three emergency responders, who were transferred to medical centers for treatment.

The Ford driver passed away after succumbing to injuries.

A criminal investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the incident.
