Museums in Armenia offer free admission on May 17

On May 17, from 11:00 a.m. to midnight, over 100 museums across Armenia will open their doors free of charge as part of International Museum Day and the pan-European Museum Night event.

Organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the event highlights the essential role of museums in fostering cultural dialogue and promoting sustainable development. This year’s theme, “The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities”, explores how museums can respond to global social, technological and climate challenges.

Museums will also remain open during regular hours with free entry to permanent exhibitions on 18 May.
