Armenian church leader off to Belarus

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, on Saturday departed for Minsk, Belarus, accompanied by a delegation of clergy.

The visit comes at the invitation of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin reported.

On May 18, Karekin II will preside over the consecration ceremony of the first Armenian church built in Belarus.
