Ruben Mkhitaryan: Civil Contract reverting to old tactics

Famous producer Ruben Mkrtchyan, a member of the Gyumri City Council, has issued a sharp rebuke of recent outbursts by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, his spouse Anna Hakobyan and MPs from his Civil Contract party, suggesting that the use of such rhetoric is deliberate.

“These are deliberate efforts aimed at keeping their electorate on edge, psychologically prepared and ready to be mobilized for future developments,” Mkrtchyan wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

According to him, the ruling party is reverting to old tactics, framing itself as a defiant opposition force battling against the so-called "villains", including former Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan, oligarchs, Russians, and even, sarcastically, “elves, aliens, asteroids and a female dental technician".
