Feast of Ascension to be marked in Armenia on May 29

The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ on the fortieth day after Easter, which falls on May 29 this year.

The feast commemorates Christ's ascension into heaven and also the restoration of the Mother See of the Armenian Church at Holy Etchmiadzin in 1441.

The Armenian church observes the Ascension with a Divine Liturgy.
