Vardan Minasyan resigns as Ararat-Armenia head coach

Vardan Minasyan has officially stepped down as head coach of Ararat-Armenia, citing a lack of motivation and emotional energy to continue in the role.

“This decision has little to do with football itself and more with the situation in the country,” Minasyan told a press conference on Thursday. “Beyond professional skills, a coach needs two essential things – motivation and emotional drive. At the moment, I simply don’t have them.”

“You try to remain focused on your work, but when you care deeply about your country, it's impossible not to be affected by what's happening,” he added.

Minasyan did not rule out a potential return to coaching abroad in the future.
