Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan strongly criticized Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government for undermining Armenia’s security and sovereignty.
“The Armenian leader surrendered Artsakh, allowed the loss of Armenia’s sovereign territories through criminal negligence, weakened the country’s security to historic lows and eroded the state administration system,” Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
The Pativ Unem faction MP also accused the government of manipulating public discourse to divert attention from its failures.
“They create and impose an artificial agenda in the public and political arena to cover up their crimes. While negotiations are kept behind closed doors, the public is forced to engage with fabricated distractions – from invasive scrutiny of people’s private lives to vulgar outbursts by the ruling couple,” the MP said.
According to him, the authorities are willing to resort to "the most disgraceful acts" to remain in control of the national agenda and extend their grip on power.
