Armenian students win four medals at APIO 2025

Armenia’s national team earned one silver and three bronze medals at the 19th Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO), held online with over 860 participants from 36 countries. The team, consisting of 11 students, was coordinated by the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics of Yerevan State University (YSU).

The silver medal was awarded to Tsovak Yegoryan, a 12th-grade student from the Physics and Mathematics Specialized School after Artashes Shahinyan. Bronze medals went to Alex Grigoryan (11th grade, Quantum College), Martin Khachatryan (12th grade) and Tigran Matsakyan (10th grade), both from the Shahinyan School.

Team leaders Armen Andreasyan and Samvel Andreasyan from YSU guided the delegation. Medal decisions were based on the top six performances from each country.

Armenia won one silver and one bronze at last year’s APIO.
