Armenia's Sargis Stepanyan wins gold at European Para-Armwrestling Championship

Armenia's Sargis Stepanyan clinched a gold medal in the up to 80 kg weight category of the European Para-Armwrestling Championship in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, on Thursday.

"But this is more than just a medal. Every victory carries a story—intense training, pain overcome, unwavering team support, and personal battles. I’m proud to once again represent Armenia with honor on the international stage," the athlete said in a social media post.

"My journey in professional armwrestling began in 2015. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of becoming five-time European Para-Armwrestling Champion, three-time World Para-Armwrestling Champion and two-time World Cup winner. Today’s victory is yet another step in proving that anything is possible. Thank you all for your support, belief, and encouraging words. New challenges lie ahead," he added.
