Opposition faction nominates candidate for Armenian PM

Following a statement by the Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), the opposition Pativ Unem parliamentary faction announced on Saturday that it had unanimously decided to initiate a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

In accordance with the National Assembly's rules of procedure, the faction has nominated Masis Mayor Davit Hambardzumyan, a member of the RPA Council, as its candidate for prime minister.
