Artur Vanetsyan urges transparency on Armenia-Azerbaijan draft peace deal

In an interview with the Public TV Company on Thursday, Homeland Party leader Artur Vanetsyan responded pointedly to host Petros Ghazaryan’s question on whether he would endorse the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement if he came to power.

“What is this text even about? Who has read it?” Vanetsyan asked, highlighting the lack of transparency surrounding the document.

The opposition leader noted that while media outlets have published 17 provisions from the draft agreement, there has been no official release of the full text. He argued that such fragmented information is not sufficient for him to express his position on the treaty.

“I’m not in favor of war. But I am convinced that the current leadership is incapable of negotiating a pro-Armenian document,” Vanetsyan stated.

“When the full text becomes available, invite me back and I will analyze every article,” he added.
