Pashinyan: 'We haven’t lost Nagorno-Karabakh, we've found the Republic of Armenia'

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed criticism over the recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan on October 6, 2022.

“The opposition accuses me of being the first leader to recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan and acknowledge Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity,” Pashinyan said, addressing lawmakers on Thursday.

He noted that at that pivotal moment, he was compelled to raise a critical question: “Do we recognize the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia and should we be surprised when others don't?"

“We have not lost Nagorno-Karabakh – we have found the Republic of Armenia. That is the truth,” Pashinyan added.
