People in Armenia urged to avoid direct sun exposure amid high UV index

The Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center warns that ultraviolet (UV) radiation levels will be above normal across Armenia on June 26 and 27. Residents are urged to avoid direct sun exposure between 11am and 5pm.

Dry and sunny weather is expected in Yerevan through June 27. Showers and thunderstorms are possible in some parts of the city from June 28 to July 1, accompanied by wind gusts up to 20 m/s.

In the regions, dry weather will prevail on June 26-27. Short rain, thunderstorms and possible hail are expected in some areas from June 28 to July 1.

Temperatures are set to rise by 2–4C over the coming days.
