Armen Charchyan's travel ban issue resolved, lawyer says

Renowned Armenian physician Armen Charchyan was eventually permitted to leave the country after travel restrictions were removed from the Border Electronic Management Information System, his lawyer Erik Aleksanyan announced.

On Tuesday morning, Dr. Charchyan was en route to Madrid to attend the Armenian Medical World Congress, where he was scheduled to deliver a speech. However, a border officer from the National Security Service (NSS) prevented him from departing, citing a travel ban that had long been lifted by a court decision.

“The issue has been resolved,” Aleksanyan wrote on Facebook, confirming that the travel ban had finally been removed from the system.
