Pashinyan calls for early elections for church head

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has called for snap elections for the Armenian church leader.

“Early elections must definitely take place. But for the Catholicos of All Armenians,” Pashinyan wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

The statement comes amid the Armenian leadership's campaign against the Armenian Apostolic Church and its senior clergy.
