Armenian GM Elina Danielian and IM Lilit Mkrtchian will compete at the 2025 FIDE Women's World Cup scheduled to be held in Batumi, Georgia, from July 6 to 28.
In the first round, Elina will face WFM Nadezhda Antonova of Tajikistan (rating: 2030), while Lilit will play against Algerian WIM Lina Nassri (rating: 2054), the Armenian Chess Federation reports.
The tournament will be held in a knockout format, with 7 rounds. In each round, the players will play two classical games. If the score is 1:1, the winner will be decided in rapid and blitz tie-breaks.
The first game of the first round starts on July 6 at 15:00.
