Lawyer: Armenia's chief prosecutor echoes media manipulations

Lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan has reacted to Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan’s latest remarks regarding the alleged terror and coup plot in Armenia.

At parliamentary debates on her motion to strip opposition MP Artur Sargsyan of immunity on Monday, Vardapetyan claimed that the alleged terrorist attacks were planned for September 2025.

"No such information exists in the case materials," Khudoyan wrote on Facebook, suggesting that Vardapetyan is either misinformed or deliberately repeating “manipulative narratives” circulated by Civic.am and other pro-government media outlets.

According to Khudoyan, Vardapetyan was referring to speculative conversations predating September 2024 and the already exposed "outdated coup plot".
