US hopes for swift Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has expressed optimism that a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan could be reached soon.

Speaking during a joint meeting with President Donald Trump on Tuesday, Rubio highlighted the U.S. role in mediating global conflicts.

"Hopefully, pretty soon, a peace deal between Azerbaijan and Armenia [will be finalized]...And it hasn't even been six months. So it's a great testament to your leadership," he said.
