Agents from Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) ransacked the home of Gegham Manukyan, an MP from the opposition Hayastan parliamentary faction and a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), during a search on Thursday morning.
According to available data, NSS officers confiscated Manukyan’s mobile phone. His son, Taron Manukyan, was reportedly detained during the operation.
Earlier, the ARF reported that Arsen Martoyan, a member of the party’s Yerevan City Committee, had also been taken into custody.
Simultaneous searches were conducted at the residences of Hayastan MP Vahagn Matinyan, Chief of Staff of the ARF Armenia Supreme Body, and Gevorg Muradyan, a member of the Yegvard municipal council and chairman of the ARF Youth Union’s Central Committee.
