Tashir Pizza director detained

The director of Tashir Pizza restaurant chain, Vaghinak Ghazaryan, has been placed in one-month pre-trial detention, Sputnik Armenia reports.

The detention order was issued by judge David Arghamanyan on Friday.

On July 2, law enforcement officers conducted searches at the Tashir Group headquarters as part of a criminal investigation into large-scale money laundering and tax evasion. On July 3, two individuals were detained after raids at the company’s main office.
