Armenian GM finishes 2nd at Biel Chess Festival

GM Aram Hakobyan finished 2nd in the Chess960 and Rapid tournaments held as part of the Biel Chess Festival 2025 on Sunday, the Armenian Chess Federation reported.

Top three in Chess960 tournament

1st place: GM Rinat Jumabayev

2nd place: GM Aram Hakobyan

3rd place: GM Daniel Dardha

Top three in Rapid tournament

1st place: GM Nikolas Theodorou

2nd place: GM Aram Hakobyan

3rd place: GM Ma Qu

The classical tournament will start on July 15.

The participants of the tournament include GM David Navara, GM Daniel Dardha, GM Nikolas Theodorou, GM Aram Hakobyan, GM Ma Qu and GM Rinat Jumabayev.
