Protester: Artsakh Armenians want to live in Armenia

Displaced Artsakh Armenians gathered outside the Armenian government building in central Yerevan on Monday to protest the lack of adequate state support for them.

“The protests will continue until our demands are met,” one protester told reporters.

He urged the government to take serious action to support the displaced Artsakh people who have survived genocide.

“These people simply want to live in the Republic of Armenia, their motherland,” he said. “Ensure that we can live in Armenia, regardless of the fact that the current situation is the result of government failures. They are responsible for what has happened.”

Artsakh Armenians held a similar rally in Yerevan’s Liberty Square on Saturday.
