Major fire reported in Armenian town

A major fire broke out at a non-operational factory in Charentsavan, a town in Armenia’s Kotayk Province, shortly after midnight on Monday.

Four firefighting crews were dispatched to the scene. The blaze was contained at 2:20am and extinguished at 2:50am, the Rescue Service reported. 

The fire damaged about 220 square meters on the first floor of a four-story building, destroying a discarded Lexus, wood shavings, stored timber and dry grass. No injuries were reported.
