Government seeks to seize Artsakh Representation building in Yerevan, MP says

The Armenian government is attempting to revoke the official status of the Artsakh Representation building in Yerevan, opposition lawmaker Tigran Abrahamyan warns.

In a social media post on Wednesday, Abrahamyan revealed that the Prosecutor General’s Office has filed a lawsuit against the Cadastre Committee, seeking to annul the state registration of property rights for the building located in Yerevan’s Arabkir district. The property is currently registered as belonging to the government of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

Abrahamyan criticized the move as a unilateral concession to Azerbaijan and Turkey by the Armenian authorities.

“In essence, the government is attempting to seize the building that serves as a gathering place for Artsakh Armenians and hosts state institutions. sending a message to Azerbaijanis that it is determined to close the chapter on Artsakh and crush any resistance,” he wrote.
