Warning: Don't leave these items in your car during summer heat

Armenia’s Rescue Service warns that extreme heat inside parked vehicles, which can reach over 60C, poses serious risks, including explosions and fires.

Items to never leave in a hot car:

  • Electronics (phones, laptops, power banks): Heat can damage batteries and cause fires or explosions.

  • Lighters: High temperatures may trigger explosions.

  • Car care products (oils, chemicals): Can release flammable vapors.

  • Perfumes, sprays, deodorants: Pressurized cans may explode in heat.

  • Plastic bottles: Sunlight can create a magnifying effect, potentially sparking fires.

  • Glass bottles with alcohol or soda: Heat and pressure can cause them to burst.

Even short exposure – just 20 to 30 minutes – can raise interior temperatures to 70C. For safety, take sensitive items with you.
