Pashinyan says environment minister requested to be dismissed

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced new Minister of Environment Hambardzum Matevosyan to the ministry staff on Thursday.

“Mr. Simidyan personally requested to be relieved of his duties as environment minister,” he stated. “I am confident Mr. Simidyan’s experience, along with his political and administrative expertise, will continue to serve the future development of our state.”

Pashinyan congratulated Matevosyan on his new appointment and expressed hope that the ministry’s current programs will proceed successfully under his leadership.
